Pasta Maria Rosa Sauce

COOKING TIME: 30 Minutes


  • 1/2 cup My Brother's Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 1 medium onion; chopped
  • 1/8 cup crushed red pepper
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1/4 cup bread crumbs
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley
  • 1 - 28 oz can Isola Peeled San Marzano Tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan or Romano cheese
  • 1 lb Isola Gourmet Penne Rigate Pasta

Preparation Instructions

  1. Start by sautéing onions and red pepper in My Brother's Olive Oil; add tomatoes(add about 1/2 cup of water to can, swirl to gather all pulp, add to mix), salt to taste. Simmer for 1/2 hour.
  2. While ingredients saute', in another pot bring to boil 1 lb. of Isola Gourmet Pasta. Cook till al dente, drain, and combine pasta, butter, cheese, breadcrumbs and parsley to saute' mix and cook for another two minutes.
  3. Top off with My Brother's Olive Oil, plate and serve hot.
